For Immediate Release-
Durham’s Future Business Leaders Get A Head Start with BossMaker.ca
Young entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their own business can now find a wealth of inspiration, information, financial assistance and resources as quick as a click – with a unique new website designed and developed especially for entrepreneurs in the 15 -34 age category.
BossMaker.ca – the brainwave of Carol Ann Walker, executive director, Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD), puts a full range of young entrepreneur programs and services, planning, mentoring and the financial support available to young Canadian entrepreneurs online, where young people often look first.
A highlight of the site are the local Success Stories featuring some of Durham’s rising stars of the small business community who have created successful enterprises with the help and mentorship of BACD’s young entrepreneur programs like the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and the annual Summer Company Program and Secondary School Business Plan Competition.
‘BossMaker.ca shows young people aspiring to entrepreneurship that they can do it’, says BACD Executive Director, Carol Ann Walker. And, it not only shows them it can be done, it shows them how. That was our vision in creating the site – to facilitate and foster young entrepreneurs in an environment they connect with most – the internet.”
Ms. Walker has more plans for the site in the year ahead including the development of an online community of young entrepreneurs. Right now, whether in the thinking, starting or growing stage of a business or idea, young people in Durham, and across Canada, can get a head start in turning great ideas into real business at www.bossmaker.ca.
